rare opportunity to get an original, early Mini Cooper at a sensible price, as prices rocket upwards for these lovely, charismatic Minis. This lovely, original car has been off the road for a number of years. The body is in really good condition and it has a very low mileage. The interior is all original and the original steering wheel has also been fitted. All numbers on the car are original, and the interior also seems to be original. The car runs and drives with excellent oil pressure. I have had the dynamo rebuilt, voltage regulator replaced, new battery and new headlamp wiring looms. So all electrics now sorted. History; I have early MOT certificates which seem to confirm the low mileage. In 1990 it had considerable work carried out by Mini specialists in Maidenhead. This included new rear valance, floor pans, outer sills, clutch, rear subframe, shock absorbers, engine mounts, and rebuilt cylinder head. It was off the road from 2003 until 2007 It was then re-commissioned by MG specialists in Berkshire who attended to the brakes, fitted head gasket, new steering rack, washed out fuel tank etc Off the road again from this time until the present. There are notes that indicate that the engine has been rebuilt, but although it looks clean and painted correctly, I cannot confirm this. The way the engine runs and the oil pressure do indicate the engine to be very healthy, though! Recently, I have had a new dynamo and regulator fitted as well as new headlamp looms, new number plate lamp and new battery. The top of the body that you can see is really good and solid - the paint is dirty but actually will clean up well. Gutters, wings etc are very sound. It does need sills, there is a very small hole in the boot and the drivers seat has fallen - straps have given way.Trim is good. Tyres are very good. You will have to have the underside worked on, but that is all as far as I can see. Finally, yes, it is a real Mini Cooper and it does say so in the V5C!
