1971 Volkswagen Beetle Type 1, Classic Cars, Yellow, 1971, 90258, 2 doors, Coupe, Manual, Petrol, 1285, Extensively restored in 2007 with a full "body off" restoration.The car had new sills, heater channels, spare wheel well and extensive repairs to inner arches and floorpan to make it structurally sound.The wings and bonnet were replaced with VW "new old stock" panels (not reproduction) and the doors with Californian import rust-free doors(also genuine VW).Great attention was paid to quality of shut lines and fit, as per original standard.The car had a full respray, including all interior paintwork, engine bay and bonnet area.The car was fully stripped to do this (including all windows). It was sprayed in a professional bodyshop environment (including oven).The wheels were shot blasted and pained to match the exterior paintwork.
