1999 Autosleeper Symbol 2 berth campervan on Peugeot Boxer

6,495 GBP

This campervan/motorhome is only 16 foot long so is easy to park in all but the tightest spaces. It has been lovingly looked after and wanted for nothing. The van includes all manuals and service receipts going back to when it was new. In the last four years the timing belt has been replaced, and most recently, the gearbox has been refurbished. Quite a common problem on Peugeot Boxers is the gearbox become "crunchy" when changing gear. This one has no issues whatsoever and drives absolutely perfectly. The Autosleeper Symbol is two berth with a bed that makes up in the centre of the van, but allows access to the fridge and bathroom even with the bed made up.
There is a full oven/grill with four gas burner hob and sink. There is a water heater that runs off gas or electric, and blown air gas heating to heat the interior. The passenger seat spins around to face the sofa area in the centre of the van. Also, there are two tables which can be setup either at the front of the van or further back for larger get togethers. A seat belt is fitted to the rear passenger seat allowing a third person to safely (and legally) travel. A large over-cab storage locker is provided which can fit large items like bedding and outdoor furniture. Further back is a full wardrobe with room to hang bulky coats etc. Behind this is the bathroom which includes a drop-down sink, thetford electric flushing toilet and a shower. In addition, the van has had: * 50 watt solar panel fitted to keep the leisure battery in a charged state.
* Status 550 directional TV aerial. Not the useless flying saucer one, this can actually receive a TV signal.
* Fiamma pull out awning to keep the sun (or rain) off when you are sat outside.
* 300 watt inverter to allow small mains appliances to be powered when off mains hookup.
* additional flip-down work surface in the kitchen area
* Fiamma bike rack fitted on the back door
* Fiamma roof light fitted to the kitchen area. This is much brighter than the original one and makes the kitchen much brighter. The last MOT van passed with no advisories. Current mileage is just over 62000 miles. Mechanically the vehicle is perfect. The 2.0 petrol engine pulls well, and is quite refined. Fuel consumption is in the mid 20s MPG depending on how you.
