An extraordinary chance to own a 2012 McLaren Venge frame. I'm the first owner. It is the most elaborately-engineering bicycle frame in history, given the involvement of race-car builder McLaren. It also is arguably the most striking. The carbon design and layup and the paint are meticulous. The McLaren has been almost completely unattainable. So rare that even race teams using the Venge can only put McLarens under a couple of their fastest riders – like Mark Cavendish and Tom Boonen. The handful of McLarens that don't go to top-tier racers almost are grabbed by Specialized industry insiders or celebrities like Barry Bonds. In fact, this one was snapped up by a race team owner with ties to Specialized. This McLaren frame was built in May 2012, I bought it in 2013, has only a few checkout-ride miles on it and is new in every way.
