23th June , Oval Shopping Basket Making 1 day hosted East Clayton Farm run by Stephen Caulfield

The cost is £70 for the full days tution and all material. To make and take home your very own round multi-coloured English willow handmade by yourself basket. You can pay either via cheque made out to Stephen Caulfield or bank transfer (please contact for bank details). The address to send cheques to, is on my site at the bottom of this advert.
All willow provided, some spare tools are available to share if you do not have your own secators and bodkin. You do not have to purchase your own but would be an advantage.
I have been professionally making baskets for a living for over 32 years now. First starting as an apprentice in the 1980's. Then moving on to piece work there after. I chose to do a longer apprenticeship than some others, as I could then make a much larger variety of baskets while on piece work.
I became self-employed and opened my own business in 1992. I have supplied Harrods and film studios etc, as most of my items are made to measure.professionally
This is a one day beginners course showing you how to produce your very own Oval shopping English willow basket. You will be tutoured and shown the traditional stake and strand basket making method. Using a variety of different coloured willows you will make and take home your very own.
This beginners course starts at 9.45am to 4:30pm.
It is hosted on National Trust Land by East Clayton Farm, Storrington Road, Washington, West Sussex RH20 4AG. They will recieve, 10% from each of my course prices towards their cause. It is in a new large log built building on these premies. This is an old Google maps picture attached, so does not show the building.
You will need to make your own why to the venue as transport is not supplied. There is a bus stop that is a few minute walk away or lots parking on site through the upper gate on the field, Near the new wooden outside training building centre.
There is a 1 hour lunch break, between 12am/1pm please bring your own packed lunch as this is not provided. Hot tea and toilets are available on site.
Up to 8 people per course maximum, to keep tution to a individual level.
The date is Saturday June 23rd 2018.
No refunds.
But changing your date to another is possible if you have personally contacted me 14 days before the course starts.
