I'm selling this Parrot on behalf of an elderly neighbour called Peter who is beginning to find life difficult and could do with less responsibilities.He has a Cat and a small Dog which look after themselves but he also has a large Parrot called Ted and he is a Blue Headed? Amazon that is 13yrs old. Originally Ted was his wife's bird who sadly passed on 7yrs ago but it was good for him to have Ted around whilst he moved on. Now Peter finds it a bit startling and gets jumpy when he flies around but Ted is amazingly tame and gentle with him.For me and some carers who call in Ted's not always friendly but I'm sure he can build a good relationship with a new owner and have a good future with them. Apparently Ted has some certification which we are trying to find however his home has been tidied by various carers and home helps over the years and it could be anywhere. Ted is used to having cats and dogs around. Ted is in good health and eats quite a bit of fruit and vegetables and enjoys alot of normal food. He comes with a nice large corner cage which is less than a year old and a few toys although he dosn't seem to spend much time in the cage other than at night and he is a great sleeper with his cover on.When hes out he likes to rip up newspapers,magazines and cardboard tubes and sit with Pete watching tv whilst secretly drinking unwatched cups of tea. Ted will obviously need an experienced owner to help him adjust to a new home and will consider sensible offers for the right home.
