Fabulous dark wood overmantle/wall mirror circa 1890 in a stylish octagonal shape frame with raised decorative beading and carved wooden moldings and oval shaped mirror. This is all original with bevelled edged glass which is in excellent order for its age(bevelled glass is always a sign of quality) the original wooden backing and hanging chain. There is another one slightly smaller but in the same style from the same era and owner available. I usually upcycle old mirrors by painting and distressing them but couldn't quite bring myself to do that as this is in such lovely condition and hope that someone will love it as it is,it would be perfect for an old country or period home or pub/restaurant. I t measures 59cms wide by 45 cms high. It is a very substantial mirror with some weight to.
