Fabulous dark wood overmantle/wall mirror circa 1890 in a stylish octagonal shape frame with raised decorative beading and carved wooden moldings. This is all original with bevelled edged glass which is in excellent order for its age(bevelled glass is always a sign of quality) the original wooden backing and hanging wire. There is another one slightly bigger but in the same style from the same era and owner available. I usually upcycle old mirrors by painting and distressing them but couldn't quite bring myself to do that as this is in such lovely condition and hope that someone will love it as it is,it would be perfect for an old country or period home or pub/restaurant. I t measures 57 cms wide by 45 cms high. It is a very substantial mirror with some weight to.
