My name is Katie and I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with a full DBS check and first aid certificate.
I have 6 years experience working in school from reception to year 5 and I have been tutoring for the last year in and around East and West Sussex.

My approach is flexible using a dynamic learning system that focuses on the key Maths and English learning outcomes for the National Curriculum for England and Wales. I offer 1:1 bespoke sessions focusing not just on academic learning but also to help increase confidence and develop self esteem. I believe securing understanding in phonics is key in learning English and therefore I use phonics to develop and progress early literacy skills drawing upon a variety of imaginative materials. I use a multi sensory approach, enabling all children - whatever their learning style or ability - to develop the key skills which will allow them to read fluently, spell accurately and write confidently. I teach maths in a way that'll equip your child with the fundamental skills required for success in school Mathematics.
