RSPCA Surrey East is happy to announce BIG Walkies – a nation-wide initiative aiming to bring people and dogs together for a fun day out being held in partnership with Vitality health and life insurance. Our local BIG Walkies event is set to take place on Sunday, 4 September in Reigate Priory Park and it promises to be a great opportunity to meet up and make some new four- and two-legged friends. Everyone’s invited to come along and take part, and you don’t need to bring a dog to join in. Simply sign up online: https://www.rspca.org.uk/BIGwalkies/findanevent/details/-/event/Reigate Dog registration starts at 10 a.m. and the event is set to finish around 2 p.m. There are two routes available: 3 km and 5 km, so all energy levels are catered for. Walks start at 11 a.m. and boots are recommended. BIG Walkies registration costs £10 for you and your dog, for which you get a tshirt, bandana and goody bag. Additional dogs are £5. There’s also an Event Village with a small selection of stalls and merchandise.. Anyone interested in setting up a stall should contact click to contact for more details. The cost of a pitch is £25, and stall holders need to provide their own equipment and insurance. The BIG Walkies is to raise funds to support the activities of the local RSPCA branch. These include taking in mistreated, lost and injured animals free of charge as well as rehoming animals in.
