An evening of stand-up comedy sat at candlelit tables in York House. Headlining the evening is Alfie Moore an original and distinctive comedian who having spent 18 years as a police sergeant brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat. He has an observational comedic style, which lends itself to witty, and sometimes gritty, anecdotes based on everyday modern policing. He also is an adept socio-political commentator and weaves this all together with his take on the ‘comedy gold’ of life. Opening the show is musical comedian Tamar Broadbent. Tamar is a comedian, singer, actor and award-winning songwriter, who studied English at Bristol University and went on to train at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Tamar was a finalist in this year's Amused Moose Laugh Off and Funny Women comedy competitions and her TV appearances include Lee Nelson's Well Funny People, The Bill and Doctors. Tamar is well-known for her catch, funny, story songs and has two musicals in development. Hosting the show is Garrett Millerick, often described as a one-man tour-de-force, Garrett is angry, irreverent, and very funny. The world is out to get him. As he threatens to cross the line into politically incorrect territory, no subject is off limits to his acerbic, acidic wit. In the middle section is Phil Cooper who considers himself an alternative comedian. He will bring tales of bizarre social interactions and share his outlandish opinions on society with you. Venue: York House Centre, London Road, Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, MK11 1JQ Timings: Doors Open at 7:30pm with the show getting underway at 8:15pm. Tickets: £10 Please note: The bar is cash.
