Please can you let me know if you would be interested in purchasing my lovely old "Retro-styled" superb condition, diesel Dodge 56 horsebox, with a nice living area, which i planned to convert to a 4x4 housetruck, by using the existing running gear from my four wheel drive Dodge 56 cherry picker (which is equipped with high and low ratio gearbox and diff-lock). Both vehicles are still in occasional use.
A little bit of remedial work may be later required, like a repair of the retracting step, or similar easy jobs. Nothing that i am otherwise aware of.
I am realistic, not seeking big money for them (although i would prefer to sell both together).
I hope someone younger and fitter than me, can convert these two trucks like i wanted to before illness struck, leaving me more incapacitated every day.
The horsebox is in lovely condition, a one lady owner from a new conversion, covering only 33,000 miles from new, and fitted with new seats in the driving cab.
The Dodge 56 4x4 truck with it's original Chrysler engine, has only 23,000 on the clock from new, and has a tatty body due to being used in the forest to fell trees etc, and standing outside in all weather with the usual cab rust accumulating over the years. However, the running gear all works fine, including the diff-lock. It has an immensely well-built, strong and safe, 12m reach (2 man + tools) platform, which will work on or off the actual Dodge truck, should it be required for use after removal (a good bonus).
