Experienced Maths Tutor Available in Brighton, Hove and Portslade
Hello! I have recently graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from King's College London University. I grew up in Brighton where I went to Blatchington Mill Secondary School and BHASVIC for College.
I have 8 years experience tutoring students of all ages (children and adults) in Maths and Science ranging from Secondary School curriculum through to A-Level. My focus is on helping students gain confidence in their subjects to become independent learners. For students studying towards exams, I have a range of exam-board specific learning resources that many of my students have found incredibly useful and which have proved to maximise their exam success. Most notably, I tutored a young girl from Syria who was studying to pass her entrance exams for a school away from the political turmoil in her home country. The subjects that I tutored her in were Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. She had studied at GCSE level however, the entrance exams were at AS level and therefore, there was a lot for her to learn in a short amount of time. I helped her for 2 hours a day, 3 times a week for a period of 6 weeks. She passed her exams with success and was able to start in her new school. She is now currently studying Neuroscience BSc at King's College London University. In addition I was also selected to be a presenter for a series of educational mathematics videos teaching KS3 and KS4 mathematics which, have been distributed to schools all across the UK.
