My elderly mother needs a female (preferably) night sitter who has experience of dealing with Parkinsons. My mother is in reasonable physical health (she retains a great sense of humour!) but due to her illness often has mobility issues and needs help with personal care in the night. This position would suit someone who has experience of dealing with older people with Parkinson and a mild dementia. The carer must speak excellent English, be able to cook and be friendly, kind, loving and patient. The job would involve the following: Preparing and cooking evening meals and breakfast, assistance with evening and morning medication, aid with night toilet needs, showering and dressing etc. This will be a night position - the duties will mean you are required to provide assistance through the night to aid needs. The positions covers between 3-5 nights a week and will need to be set nights each week. My mother is a wonderful person - with a great sense of humour who still enjoys knocking out a piano piece but due to her illness now needs someone who has patience, is caring and understands the responsibilities of the job. In return you will be welcomed in to a kind and loving environment - her current day and night time carers have all become great friends of hers. There may also be the possibility for a live-in option too for the right person. References essential. Position available immediately. Please reply by email with CV and covering.
