On Sunday 21st August, historic Firle Place in Sussex opens its doors for the 40th annual International Horse Trials and Dog Festival. The Dog Festival offers a wide variety of fun dog competitions, including gundog scurries and terrier racing, dog shows and fun agility. Says Josephine Carr, organiser, “The Dog Festival is now a major part of the event and it is wonderful each year to see so many families come and enjoy competing with their dogs.” The event also offers Have-a-Go Archery on the lawns of Firle Place, a Harvey’s Bar, local food stalls and a wide range of exhibitors including a Weald Craft Marquee and Farmers Market stalls to entertain the whole family. The event is run in aid of Hope in the Valley Riding for the Disabled, the Breast Cancer Campaign and other local charities. DOG FESTIVAL open to all:
