For sale is my 5 berth mk3 coachbuilt transit motorhome.
It has the sought after 2.5 turbo diesel engine from 1999 (bombproof banana type).
The same engine type in most herald motorhomes that go between 10k and 15k. It has always been a motorhome since registration. It has under 85k and pulls very well.
This motorhome comes with loads and loads of storage. Many cupboards, drawers and a wardrobe. It's very spacious inside and would be great for families. It is ready to hit the road, just been serviced.
Work I've carried out since July:
Mechanical:
4 new shock absorbers rear leaf springs back breaks The front breaks were new when I purchased the motorhome however, I have paid for the brake pads, they're boxed, sealed and are included in the sale) Tyres (the front two are the newest, they are viking snowtech tyres from Norway) oil and filter timing belt, clutch cable and pedal etc.
Cosmetic:New sony sterio that has usb and AUX input.4 new speakers, 2 of which are located in the habitation part of the motorhome. Brand new Cello TV which plays DVD'S, has usb, hdmi, headphones and many more output/input socets. The TV runs off 12v and 240v.I have installed a new 240v plug socket with usb charge port built in. A volt metre which displays the lessure battery power and 2 more usb charge ports New bathroom with wetroom style floor. New vanity unit and shower mixer tip up sink and much more.New, food grade plumbing hoses suppling the shower and sinksNew 12v sunken roof lights and switchesNew hard wearing carpet and kitchen area lino. New powerful 12v pump installed.
I've probably missed out a lot.
What is included:
The fridge (electrolux) runs off gas when you are static and electric when you're on the move. There is a grill, oven and four ring cooker.
The heating runs off gas (carver caravelle 4) all you need to do is flick the electric wall switch and you're warm in no time. Brilliant heater.
Smoke alarm and co2 detector with new batteries installed. Hot water heater is installed and is run off gas.
Included in the sale is a silent 2 kw electric generator and all hookups. This was brilliant for my wife as she could use her hairdryer anywhere!! It also means you don't have to pay campsites for electric hook-up and be totally self sufficient.
There are two batteries, one is large and is known as a leisure battery. You can choose which one you want to power your lights etc. Both batteries recharge via the alternator when you are driving.
We are sadly selling as we need a car. We've been all over the place and have amazing memories in this motorhome. It will be sorely missed.
Dimensions: 6m long (20ft), 3m high (10ft), 2.3m wide (not sure what that is in feet)
A few months back me and my wife were in ullapool, Scotland and I asked to get the camper weighed in on the weighbridge there, purely out of curiosity. In total it came in at 2.9 tones, that was with all of our stuff on-board. My wife has a lot of stuff!! We were surprised it didn't weigh more. It's max is 3.5 tonnes.
Bad Points This van is over 20 years old so like most of this period has no Power steering, but is very light on the road. A few scrapes and scratches and surface rust on cab but nothing serious, may need welding under door arch but that's up to new owner. I don't have the service history as I'm just back from holiday and staying down south with family until it sells.
Note: In the last few days someone has broken the outer window pane in the kitchen.
