Fundraising for Blind Children Charity Donations Wanted

Dear Friends,

My name is Karen and I live in London.

I was wondering if you would be able to help me by donating to my fundraising page to help blind children and their parents through The Royal Society for Blind Children.

I am an individual who was offered a Bond Place in the London Marathon by the charity after all public places were already taken. In return I have to raise money for the charity. I don't work for the charity. I really want to help blind children.
My story and the journey I am about to embark on is very inspirational and it is even more beautiful for the reason why I am doing this.

I broke my leg in July 2014 and was 6 months on crutches. I had to learn to walk again. I still have the screws and plates in my leg.

In 2015 I set myself a challenge to see if I could do the London Bridges Challenge ( 10 miles crossing 13 bridges ) and I did it in 4 hours !

I raised money for Diabetes UK.

In 2016 I did the challenge again and took 30 minutes of the year's before time, again raising money for Diabetes UK.

Now I am participating in the London Marathon which will be the biggest challenge of my life : 26 Miles !

I still can not run but I can speed walk and am sure I will finish the Marathon within the time to receive a medal which is 8 hours.

The Royal Society for Blind Children has offered me a place to walk for them in this year's marathon on 23rd April.

They are aware of what happened with my leg and that I can not run like the most.

While preparing for the marathon I am fundraising for RSBC through my JustGiving page :   http://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Karen-Beishuizen

My journey to get back to walking again was similar to that of a blind or partially sighted child and what they have to endure in that they have an enormous challenge ahead of them, go through barrier after barrier just to lead a normal life, courage is a must and having the will to go on in the face of adversity.

As I walk the marathon I will get to see sights of London these children never will and that alone makes me want to raise as much money as possible !

I would be very grateful if you could support me with a donation.

If you need an official letter from the charity stating I am fundraising on their behalf, this can be send to you.

Please support this great cause because I believe no child should grow up poor or lonely just because they are blind.

I hope to hear from you and it would be awesome if you could help.

Kind Regards

Karen Beishuizen
