Haigh (pronounced "Hay") Hall, is located in Wigan, Lancashire.

A Grade II listed building built between 1827 and 1840 by James Lindsay, the 7th Earl of Balcarres, which replaced an ancient manor house and was his family's home until 1947 when it was sold to Wigan Council.

With a reputation for being haunted by grisly and frightening spirits. There has been much activity in the past on the top floor, which has subsequently been sealed off for decades.

With many things reported by visitors, particularly among paranormal investigators, attempts were made to keep news of these incidents out of the public domain, due to it’s history of poltergeist activity. However, stories have continued to leak out over the years and become urban legends.

The hauntings at the Hall have taken a variety of forms. Many physical manifestations have been reported – from hooded figures to malevolent shape shifters seeking to cause mischief.

By day it looks welcoming, but don’t be fooled...

...with Ghostly Apparition, Doppelgangers, Manic Screams and Insane Laughter... all reported at what's know as 'The Borley Rectory of the North'.
