These Bowls give a great game on a carpet and can be enjoyed by the whole family. Although they are designed primarily for indoor use some people have used them successfully in their back garden as long as it's a small and fairly well-maintained lawn. Perfect for family fun or get-togethers in the summer. If the garden is a bit undulating well that just makes the game all the more interesting! P/S It is said that Admiral Sir Francis Drake, on hearing of the approach of the Spanish Armada, refused to set sail with the British Fleet until he had finished his game of Bowls on Plymouth Hoe.
