Honda CBX750f 1985. Rat bike. Custom Bobber. Project Work In Progress. Motorbike. Motorcycle. Mo Non Runner

600 GBP

This is a 1985 CBX750f that I have customised as a project, I have been working it on this summer. It is running but to complete it, the carbs need either replacing or a rebuild kit which can be found on EBAY for around £50.
I no longer have the time to complete the bike. I have fitted new brakes, oil, filter, plugs, tires are good. All the electrics are good, I've wired new lights, speedo etc. All lights, horn, electrics are working.
The carbs are literally the last thing to do. I was hoping to have an MOT by now but family circumstances have caused me to sell the bike.
It is a Matt Black finish, the tank is pitted has dents, the bike has marks. It's not a professional finish, more of a mad max style ratbike/bobber.

If you're looking for a nice shiny pristine bike, this isn't for you.

There are no keys required, there is an ignition switch under the seat, the bike still starts off of the starter button as usual. I have the logbook. The Mileage is unknown as the original clock stopped working at around 20k.

As I said it's all working and put together to be road legal, but the carbs need sorting out. Basically It will not go above 50mph because the carbs need balancing. On close inspection, the carbs were corroded inside and floats stuck etc. I cleaned them out but the mixture screws are bad and cannot be tuned or balanced. hence a carb kit is needed or the carbs need replacing. But this is all that's needed to complete the bike.

The frame has been cut shorter, the seat and tank replaced. Air box removed, I had a box fabricated to hold the battery. I made a custom pipe which has a nice sound. Tires are good. I have added a picture of the original bike at the end of the photos so you can see the changes made.

As I said this isn't a pristine bike it is rough around the edges, it has character and looks mean.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't a bodge job!!! It has been thought out and put together carefully, I built it to get dirty and stay dirty, as my current bike is covered in chrome, I wanted something for short journeys, for the wet roads that doesn't need cleaning often, looks cool and fun to ride.

Feel free to come take a look. Just message me to.
