Was Napoleon a psychopath, as described by Robert Harris on Radio 4 a few days ago? How do the French see the Brits? “French Culture is dead” announced the Time Magazine. Do you agree? We talk about current affairs, history, literature, cinema, music, moral issues, anything to do with the French culture and way of life. Comparative study of our cultures, advanced grammar so you can speak with more confidence and read novels and newspapers in French. Join one of my groups or request one to one lessons. My name is Babette Kundrat. I studied pedagogy and was a teacher in France before moving to Alfriston, where I started a French Language school 10 years ago. My fees are the following: 5 week courses: £70 for 5 lessons lasting either 2 hours or 90 minutes, so £7 p/h or £10.50 p/h. Courses continue without interruption (apart from Christmas and other holidays). Enrolling in a course entitles you to a free "conversation au coin du feu" or "apéritif au jardin" in the summer, on Mondays. As an enrolled student, you can attend a lesson in any other group if you have been absent. I also coach for exams and I am proud to be able to say that all my A level students achieved A or A*, some retaking their exam after obtaining very poor grades the first time. I do not just teach French, I train students to "think" and put their arguments forward. Private One to One lessons: £25 p/h or £20 p/h for O and A level students Skype lessons: £10 p/30 minutes, £20 p/h As I am involved in the twinning of Alfriston with Veules les Roses in Normandy, I can help you find hosts who share your interests. If you are interested in French cinema, I offer monthly film evenings. Email me or call me so we can discuss your requirements. Cordialement
