Jaguar 27 yacht. (open to close offers)

6,450 GBP

Here we have my Jaguar 27..

I have had it for a year and not used it as much as I thought I would.. To be honest I have spent 9 months having it worked on and buying bits for it. This year isn't looking too good for using it as my weekends are now fully booked with children's clubs and other things.. So rather than paying for it to sit in a marina I have decided to sell it.. It's currently in Rye east Sussex.

It's a Jaguar 27 also called a Catalina 27 I think it's 1973.. One double birth forward. One double birth table conversion. 2 single aft births.,

Over the year of owning it I have done many many things

All ropes and lines that had any chafing have been replaced

The hull has had 6 layers of antifoul taken off and epoxied.

replaced water pipes, cleaned tank and added a water filter

The Galley (kitchen) was in a very sorry state and not hygienic to use so it has a new kitchen. There is a 150 Litre cooler box for a fridge now. This normally sits under the table but can be seen in the forward bunk area)

New hatch covers.

leaks sealed and one sanction is in the process of being fixed. (see pics)

Lots and lots of cleaning.

Replaced anchor windlass.

replaced rusted shackles. Don't ask me why but someone put steal ones on at some point..

Rewiring of many parts. new Cutlass bearing.

New 100amp battery, with new solar charge managing box (cant think of the name).

New starter motor for the engine.

New tender. Old one had holes and leaked quite badly..

After doing 100 miles in the fog it now has a AIS VHF radio.

Replaced gas pipe.

Full engine service.

Drain holes cleared.

spinnaker pole.

New Whale mk4 water tap New depth gauge

New inside lights. (some bulbs replaced with LED lights) It's only some because the LED light is quite harsh and the normal bulb is more relaxing.

The following bits are the not so good.

The blue deck pain is flaking and should be removed and redone. Compared to the hull this should maybe take a weekend.

The life raft is out of test.

It really needs a nonslip lino floor. (my personal opinion and I may do this my self.) please note the floor it's self is quite clean. (nowhere near as bad in the photo)

The sail cover (mast part) blew off. I and getting another one made.. (That's the reason for the Jacket around the mast)

Other bits....

The main sail has lazy-jacks and 2 reefs. Very quick and easy to get up and down..

The Jib has roller furling,. Lazy Jacks

There is a cruising cute. ( I haven't had a chance to use it)

There is a navico autopilot. (this works nicely and was worth every penny)

This is not the boats original mast.  It's larger and stronger.

It has a Volvo Penta engine that seems to use maybe a litre an hour.

Diesel tank seems to be about 40 litres

Water tank seems to be 40-50
