If your New Year's resolution was to dig out your old musical instrument & start playing again or you just want to experience playing in an Orchestra then come & join the North Downs Community Orchestra. We are a new local Orchestra formed to provide an opportunity for musicians of all ages & abilities to get together & make music in a fun, friendly & welcoming atmosphere. The Orchestra is open to all. It doesn’t matter how old you are (minimum age 18 currently), what grades you do or don’t have & we don’t hold auditions, all that matters is that you play an Orchestral instrument, want to make music with other musicians & are good fun. We are the Orchestra for you & you are the musician for us. We rehearse on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month at Godstone "Endeavour" Scout Hut, Bay Path, Godstone Surrey, RH9 8DU. We believe that there is an instrument for everyone and want to give everyone a chance to play in our Orchestra so please don't throw your old instruments away. Please get it fixed and give it to us and we'll put it in our pool and will lend it to a new musician. And what's more in return for your kind generosity we'll make you a Friend of the Orchestra for the next 2 years.
