The boat:
My Kruger Premier II is up for sale after owning her since 2009 (second owner). She is a 2007 model launched in 2008. She is a category C boat rated to carry 5 people and planes nicely even when fully loaded, she is a capable little boat and I have always felt safe both at sea and in fresh water.
She is easy to tow, manoeuvre, launch and recover due to the single axle trailer and can be towed behind an average family car (I have a Golf estate). The removable top wind shield make towing a little more economical.
She is in fantastic condition as she is rinsed and washed after each outing and is stored in the garden under a large tarp to protect from the elements, often lock keepers on the Thames have confused her for a new boat as she carries no name. She has a cabin that quickly converts into a very spacious bed which could sleep a young family and there is plenty of storage space for everything you would need for a long weekend on the boat. The pedestal seats can swivel 360”, she has a bimi cover to keep the sun off and a full tent cover to completely enclose the cockpit of the boat which protects against foul weather. The front of the cabin opens allowing a second method of accessing the bow area and allows fresh air into the cabin, she also has a small platform to sit or dive from on the bow.
Engine:
A very reliable Mariner 60HP EFI fuel injected outboard engine (also 2008). Service history up to 2011. At last service the engine had recorded 135hrs use (2011) and has been used very little since then. Fitted with power lift and trim for ease of use and Whale Tail to speed up the time to plane. There is a Volcano stainless steel engine mount bolt lock which encases 1 of the engine mount bolts to discourage theft which is often required by insures.
Trailer:
Hallmark Roller Coaster 1500KG max load single axle braked trailer, also in great condition. Rollers allow easier launching and recovery, it has a spare wheel and post mounts (with posts) to aid recovery if needed. Hubs are fitted with bearing savers which allow grease to be pushed into the bearing under spring pressure. Wheels balanced and locking wheel nuts fitted.
Equipment:
She has a Plastimo compass and the transducer and wiring for a Navman echo sounder however the unit has stopped working. She has external navigation lighting, internal lighting and a basic amp and speakers so you can plug an MP3 player/phone in, there is also 12v power points allowing charging and powering of phone, laptops etc. She comes with a portable 25 litter fuel tank, 6 fenders and 2 warps along with a bimi and tent cover.
Summary:
All in all she is a great boat that offers her next owner comfortable, safe and affordable access to the water. With my children grown up and my interests moving more towards wind powered sailing I rarely get to use her anymore and such a lovely boat should be enjoyed.
