On the back, the decanter reads - "As the first ocean going battleship built wholly of iron, Warrior was the most revolutionary and powerful of her day, rendering all others obsolete overnight. 'A black vicious ugly customer as ever I saw' said Charles Dickens of this magnificent vessel. Yet within a few years she wa herself out-dated, slipping down the Navy List to become a shabby hulk.
