hi guys unfortunately and very reluctantly the time has come to sell the iconic 90! it really has been a labour of love and i have enjoyed every minute i have owned it. she sounds great, looks great and drives like a dream! i am not in too much of a rush although i do need a more of a family car lol Land Rover Defender 90 TD5 reg V (late 1999) fire engine RED. MOT Nov 2016. 118000m and shed loads of history (pic to follow). 3 owners inc me, few additional items added cosmetic and practical. ecu Dastek Unichip (lots of power, more efficient and sounds great, over £600 new) Price: £9500
located Guildford, Surrey the first owner was indeed a fireman who used for his fire brigade business to move pumps, extinguishers, etc. the next owner i also know and lives local to me, he added the ecu chip, leather seats, lights, front bumper, wheels, rock sliders, safari snorkel and sound system
chassis in great condition and flew through the mot last month with 1 advisory. lots of time and money spent on her with the obvious additional items you can see but also in parts.
i have had the clutch/flywheel replaced, head gasket replaced (steel dowels and all new seals installed), sump was taken off to insp oil pump gear bolt which was already loctited. i rebuilt the drivers swivel (new swivel, pins, bearings, cv joint, seals. i have serviced it very frequently and all oils have been changed. All steering ball joints replaced inc the steering box arm ball joint
at the beginning of the year i stone chipped everywhere underneath. the added seats are lovely and comfortable but are bolted down (not as easy to get the battery or ecu for you, or a thief). and so i have routed a Positive terminal under the bonnet for jumping etc see pic. has adjustable towbar and sliding towing sling with shackles
i think thats enough or else i wont sell it lol
all-round great car and will out last any new 4x4. id happily jump in this and go around europe with no hesitation
