Ldv Convoy 2000 Converted Campervan

1,800 GBP

 Full details http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162154432167 a quick sale as we need the money for our new van. Our beloved Alvin is up for sale as we are looking for a newer and bigger van to convert for full-timing. Below is our honest description of him! Alvin was lovingly converted 3 years ago from a 17 seater minibus, and downplated to 3.5tonnes, to be driven on a normal car license. We had him weighed after we'd done the conversion and he only weighs 2300kg unladen, so there's plenty of capacity for carrying lots of stuff! MOT until 25th September 16. He drives as you expect an LDV to drive and is full of character! It's a lovely, basic but homely conversion! Features: Front swivel seats and a very comfy chairFoil bubble and earthwool insulation on walls and ceiling. Thick underlay under the carpet. Free standing table3/4 (4ft, small double) fixed bedTwo ring hob and grillToilet (on wheels, which hides away under the bed)Cold water only (manual pump tap over sink)Battery powered lightingCool box in the drawer (keep food cool for at least 3 days with a couple of freezer blocks)Curtains all roundAmple storage including two large lockable drawersOn board 25L fresh water tank  Alvin has covered just 80600 miles during his happy life. There are some old MOT's. We have had him fully serviced every year for the past  3 years (unfortunately I can only find the receipt from last year!). Both his front tyres are almost new and the other have lots of life in them. He is solid underneath and has never had any welding done. The coloured spots are easily removable if you want to take them off - they are just vinyl stickers. There are some bits that Alvin might appreciate you repairing if you felt that you wanted to (I'm sure he won't mind me pointing out some of his faults, as none of them are major and don't really affect his use  very much): The passenger side window winder handle needs a new clip (at the moment it's held on with blue-tack)The rear wheel arches have been repaired at some point and are painted with black hammeriteThere are the odd spots of rust, but nothing serious or structuralI think the hand brake needs looking at (pull it on too hard and it gets a bit stuck, not hard enough and it doesn't hold the van in place on a steep gradient)Minor leak of exhaust gases from centre box jointThe heater control knobs are a bit iffyThe laminate on the corner of the worktop has split slightly as we didn't close poor Alvin's door properly, didn't notice for several weeks and the water got in (sorry Alvin!)After a long journey there is sometimes a bit of a judder when pulling away from stationaryThe electric slide out step under the sliding door hasn't been used since we had him and it seems to have seized up He isn't perfect but he really is a lovely van and we have had some lovely holidays away with him. I think I've covered everything but please do feel free to come and have a look and take him for a drive- call 07806 623077 07806 6230...(click to reveal full phone number) . ;
