Maxitone Banjo Ukulele, This after researching I believe to be a Maxitone banjo ukulele dating from the 1920s--1930s made by C Bruno & co New York City. It appears that in the past the old tuning pegs have been changed to geared tuners. Unfortunately there are no markings on the instrument to confirm that it is a Maxitone but after studying photos of others on the internet I am convinced it is.
