Three races in three Mid Sussex Towns, making up the classic marathon distance. The event starts on Saturday 30th April at East Grinstead Rugby Club with a 10 mile race. It moves to Victoria Park, Haywards Heath on Sunday 1st May for a 10 mile race, and concludes on Monday 2nd May at Oakmeeds Community College, Burgess Hill with a 10K race.
The event suits runners of all standards including those new to 10 mile races. In addition to the main races, there will be a Mid Sussex Mile race. This is open to all, including younger runners and those seeking a more leisurely distance.
Runners can enter each race individually, but those completing all three races will receive a special commemorative Marathon Weekend medal, along with their individual race medals.
This is being run as a 'not-for-profit' event, so any surpluses made from the race entries will be reinvested by the District and Town Councils into local sporting causes, making it a true community event.
