Also offered:- EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques for musicians and overcoming stage fright and tone deafness. I have taught music both privately and in schools and colleges for many years. I am passionate about helping musicians from beginners upward to find where they want to be musically and to help them achieve that. I love seeing students understand in a very short space of time what took me so long as a child. It is a real privilege to be a facilitator. I particularly enjoy enabling students to discover and manifest the songs inside them. Often people have songs playing in their heads but haven't the knowledge, experience or technique to be able to play or sing and therefore bring their creativity out into the open. Sometimes even when this can be done people feel that they can't perform in front of others. Fortunately I have experience in helping to overcome this problem. I have also had the privilege of undoing the label of tone deafness given to many pupils where their teachers have simply assumed that everyone should be able to automatically sing in tune. In all my years of teaching I have not come across anyone who with simple guidance is not able to sing in tune and mostly this is achieved remarkably quickly. Similarly despite the common thought that it is best to learn music as a child In my experience it is never too late to learn! Ironically it often becomes quicker and easier to grasp the concepts later in life as our experience and learning give us more reference points.
