Photography Training Day (Early Years of Aviation)

12 GBP

A photography training day at The Shuttleworth Collection intended to teach attendees the basic camera skills required to photograph aircraft. The day will incorporate plenty of practical skills training, combined with a small amount of classroom tuition.   Aimed at beginner photographers who wish to learn the basic controls of their camera, this day is ideal for photographers who have a DSLR and are looking to get more creative and understand the use of shutter speeds and apertures. We do not discourage more competent enthusiasts from attending this course, but it will cover some basic elements of camera settings.   It is essential that you own a DSLR camera with a removable lens and a camera that allows manual control of shutter speeds and apertures. A standard lens is all that is required, however a zoom lens will be beneficial. A range of practical skills will be taught, from capturing static images, portrait photography (using a period dress re-enactor), and moving subjects in the air. It will leave attendees fully primed to take on an airshow with their camera!   This is an outdoor event, suitable clothing and footwear will be required.   Workshop tutor: Darren Harbar   Event Timings: 09.30 – Arrival with tea and coffee 10.00 – Classroom session 11.00 – Static aircraft photo session 12.30 – Classroom session, debrief and questions 13.00 – Buffet lunch served (please call Helen Woods, on 01767 627 924 01767 627 9...(click to reveal full phone number) , with any dietary requirements) 13.30 – Static aircraft and re-enactor photo session 15.00 – Flying aircraft photo session 15.30 – Classroom session, debrief and questions 16.30 – Close   Free car parking is available on site.
