Our lovely nanny has been approached to work in a school so we are looking for someone to care for our boys aged 7 and 8. The core hours are 12.30-6pm three days a week with the option to top up to 20 hours by doing housework/babysitting. We can flexible about the specifics as I am self employed and there's scope for additional hours over half term and school holidays. Afternoons are usually spent collecting the children from school, going to the playground or skatepark, going swimming, going to the woods etc and helping with homework. We would prefer a driver. Our boys are bright, sociable and fun but they can push each other's buttons, and our older boy has meltdowns as part of his condition, so we need someone very calm and confident, with a real sense of fun but who has a firm hand when needed. You will need solid experience with children/young people with additional needs, whether as a nanny or in a youth work or school role. We are a flexible, friendly family to work for and are looking for someone to be part of our family life over the long.
