Welcome to the sale of my Astra VXR.Where do I begin with this car I have owned it for over a year now and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am the second owner of this car and know the full extensive history of the car. Myself being a fully qualified Vauxhall technician and the owner from new being a Vauxhall technician it fair to say the car has been looked after very well! It has been serviced religiously every 6 months in between major services and full dealer service history with cambelt and water pump already replaced.
I have replaced a few items on this car to keep it as mint as possible such as 4 brand new continental tyres which retail over £600, a new battery, oil cooler pipes as they were weeping oil from a flexi-joint, camcover gasket, coolant change, front discs and pads replaced by previous owner, transmission oil changed. I have also had the car detailed which included paint correction (removing swirls in the paint and restoring to its former glory whilst adding protection to keep it looking clean. Only genuine vaxhall parts used on this car.
This car is of the highest specification possible for its year as it has the following 19 inch wheels, Full leather heated recaro seats, climate control, cruise control, sat nav (colour display), IDS+ (makes the car stick to the road when sport mode enabled), parking sensors, xenon headlights, AFL (headlights turn into the corners when you turn the wheel), metallic paint black sapphire ( black with a purple tint). This car has well over £5000 worth of upgrades from new. The only upgrades it doesn't have purely as they only got added to the newer models is auto lights/wipers and key less entry. I forgot to mention this car has a full thatcham approved Clifford alarm fitted with proximity sensors and shock sensors with all documentation.
This car hasn't been modified in anyway shape or form, its completely standard how they should be. The turbo isn't bellowing out blue smoke neither does the gearbox whine its been highly maintained and drives like new. The wheels have never been curbed so the tracking is spot on! The wheels have been refurbished at Pristene Wheels in Woburn to change the colour to a slightly brighter silver less metallic. When you put your foot down the car does shift even without the sport button on just watch out for torque steer as they all suffer from that.
This car is 11 years old and does have some very minor scratches but no dents at all. As I mentioned in the condition the only thing letting this car down are the headlamps and the NSR lamp letting in a small bit of water this doesn't effect anything just not cosmetically nice.The vehicle comes with 2 keys and is HPI clear and no outstanding finance etc. Everything on this car is working correctly electronically and mechanically no hidden faults at all.
This car is a very rare one in excellent condition for mileage 41,711 ,age and spec so I am asking a reasonable price for it as I'm in no rush to sell it with a fresh MOT its ready to go. Having bought a summer car and saving for a house the vxr isn't getting used to its full potential so the search for a new owner begins...
