An unused limited edition VHS film of Devonshire 300 from 1994. This event was a specially commissioned masque performance involving 250 actors and musicians telling the story of the Cavendish family and Chatsworth from Bess of Hardwick to the present (1994). Devonshire 300 marked the 300th Anniversary of the Dukedom of Devonshire. The outdoor event was set on a huge stage over the River Derwent with Chatsworth House as the backdrop before an audience of 3000 invited guests. The effects are stunning. This 100 minute recording has a magnificent musical firework display finale. It is unlikely that you will easily find this item available for sale elsewhere. Of particular interest to advocates of performing arts, historians, theatre.
