Reduced price Beautiful 039Aslin Dane039 Teaza Seven 7 string electric baritone guitar

225 GBP

A good quality and cool looking 7 string baritone guitar tuned B-E-A-D-G-B-E. Standard guitar scale length but with the extra low B string to give great lows often favoured by metal bands but wonderfully versatile for any guitar style. Originally cost some £750.00. From the internet it would appear that the company is owned by master luthier David Lee - the master designer and builder behind the new Hagstrom guitars. Aslin Dane are a small but quality USA manufacturer who enjoy a reputation for high end models built in USA but they also sell budget conscious models made in Korea (but assembled and hand-finished in the USA). This is an American built model as it has an ebony fingerboard which are known to be hard, fast, make the necks incredibly stable and it plays and sounds great. It also has 'Microdisk' tuners (see pic) that were unique to Aslin Dane and are very true and stable. Strange looking but VERY easy to use and practical. Two humbuckers, three way switch. Three knobs - Volume, Treble and Bass, one being a pull type for coil tapping which gives a great range of sounds due to having the option to use the humbuckers as single coils. You can enjoy Gibson type humbucking sounds AND Fender type single coil sounds, all in one guitar. Tune-o-matic Gibson style bridge and tail. All the hardware is in black to match the quality black finish which is in very good condition. As far as I can ascertain from the web the body and neck are ash. From the internet: "Aslin Dane Guitars were introduced in the late 1990s, and quickly became popular with professional musicians in the NYC and LI areas. They're very well made, and have many of the features found on expensive custom-made instruments, for less than half the price, making them perfect for both the beginning player and the working professional musician. All Aslin Dane instruments are made to be played; they use high quality wood and hardware to ensure that each instrument sounds and plays great, for as long as you own it." All in all then a very unusual guitar, bordering on unique in the UK. It's a rarity as they were never made in any real numbers and it's the only one I've seen in the UK. Internet research suggests that a price of £350 is reasonable for the guitar. The guitar has sustained some damage but has been repaired by a time-served carpenter. It was knocked over and a piece of the headstock which has the first tuner attached to it broke off. It has been pinned, glued and screwed back in place and the repair is ABSOLUTELY ROCK SOLID with NO movement, and the playability is not affected AT ALL! It stays in tune fine. The only issue is that repair can be seen. Price reduced from £350 to £225 to compensate. Get a great guitar at a vastly reduced!
