This has been used for a number of years on our 33ft sailing boat, but the locking mechanism leaves something to be desired, so it is at present held at a particular length by a stainless 5mm through bolt. It comes with a special nylon block for fixing to the tiller, into which the flexible joint on the extension locks, and a nylon clip for parking when it is not being used. It is therefore suitable as a fixed length extension (whatever you like to fix it at ) with a really good hand grip, so am offering it on that basis for £10 ono.
