Speed Graphic press camera in ‘as seen’ condition. Made by Graflex, USA, the camera is believed to be a Pacemaker model, c.1947. It has a Kodak Ektar 127mm F1:4.7 lens, a Supermatic shutter and a Kodak Series IV lens hood. It is also fitted with a Kalart synchronized rangefinder. The camera comes with three Graflex double darkslides and a Graflex cut film holder, all take 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 cut film. There is also a Rada 120 roll film holder, currently in two pieces but easily glued back together. The Speed Graphic was the workhorse press camera from the 1930s through the early 1960s. This example is quite tatty and, while most of the basic functions appear to work, there is no guarantee as to its functionality. This piece of photographic history should be considered more a project than a functioning camera and would suit someone who wants to experiment and is prepared to tinker with it as necessary. Was £50, reduced to clear, now just £.
