SRWA drama production of 039A Christmas Carol039

Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol This year’s autumn school production at The Sir Robert Woodard Academy is the family favourite A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, adapted by John Mortimer.  The show runs from 6-8 December 2016, 7.00pm-9.30pm in the Academy’s Alan Strong Theatre. The theatre will be transformed into the streets of Dickensian London, where out of a London skyline the familiar characters will emerge, assisted by a chorus of Victorian townsfolk, to make hard-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge see the errors of his ways before the break of Christmas Day.  This clever retelling of a Christmas family favourite will incorporate live music, song, dance and storytelling.  The direction and set will allow audiences to feel as though they are peering into Scrooge’s journey as they fly through time and location as Scrooge becomes enlightened to the joys of Christmas and the need for charity and friendship.   Tickets £7 for adults and £5 for concessions and can be booked via the online booking system on the Sir Robert Woodard Academy.
