There has been much said of the now legendary K5 GSXR1000, it’s arguably the most influential sports bike of modern times. It was used by BMW as the bench mark when they created the S1000RR and is still a force to be reckoned with today. The long stroke motor delivers the immense power controllably with the option of pure beast in the right hands. The handling was ahead of its time, this was achieved through engineering prowess over electronic aids, with the rider having total control. This bike has been sold by us previously, including to its last owner. It is in traditional blue and with and comes complete with both keys, the original owners hand book and service book as well as the original Alphadot certificate. There are currently 5 service stamps, with a 6th to follow when sold. The tyres are quite new with plenty of life left. The current mot is due to expire soon, though we will provide a full mot when sold. There are a few tasteful modifications and additions, including R+G protection on the forks, frame and swingarm, GSXR chromed heel plates, A carbon Akropovic slip on tail pipe which looks stunning, and a genuine GSXR tank pad as well as a very nice looking tail tidy in place of the rather large genuine offering. All in all this is a great bike and will make the new owner very happy. As with all our bikes it is of course HPI clear and will be fully prepared by our workshop prior to collection.
