The Bifrost Guard are a historical reenactment, combat display and living history group based in Wellingborough. We take the age of the vikings and saxons and bring it to life with authentic and well researched clothing, equipment, weapons and methodologies and we'd love you to come along and join us! Based at Wellingborough Museum, we meet fortnightly for our training sessions and a catch up on Saturdays 1-4pm (whatever the weather). It's a brilliant opportunity to discover and learn new things about history, your town, and even yourself. Learn the new skills of fighting with a spear and axe, or how to weave, forge metals and cast, do woodwork, or even if it's just to go away for the weekend with a group of people you can come to call friends and family. We're active during the summer which is our main show season and attend events, shows and markets across the country during the season, and take part in school shows during the closed period.
