The wreck of HMS Brazen & the Newhaven Lifeboat (Royal Voluntary Service - Elderberries Club). The Royal Voluntary Service "Elderberries" club is a fortnightly meeting place for those over 55. Our meeting on Tuesday 19th January will include a talk on the wreck of HMS Brazen off Newhaven in 1800 and tell the story of how Newhaven became one of the first permanent lifeboat stations in the world. Admission £2 includes refreshments. Meeting at Newhaven Day Centre, West Quay, Newhaven, BN9 9BP 1pm - 3pm.
