The Revolver Rebel was seen as a good budget turntable in the 1980s and it sat alongside the likes of the Rega Planar 3. And it still does a good job today, possibly as good as the more expensive good quality entry level turntables available today. As far is this listed item's concerned, the turntable plinth, deck, arm, cartridge and stylus are in very good condition. The dust cover (lid) is cracked (see picture 4) and can be slid out of its hinges when you want to play a record. I preferred to use the turntable without it - it gets in the way of things. The hinges for the lid can be removed if you want to dispense with the cover. A new Ortofon OM10 cartridge and Japanese stylus was fitted about four months ago and it has had about 12 hours of use.
