Wonderful old French Medical Irrigator 2 Litre jug pot,this would have originally been used in hospitals,wall hung and would have had a tube connected to the spout at the base to be used as a douche back in the day. It is in a lovely muted blue enamel with a darker blue rim and still has the measuring markings inside. A much rarer colour than the usual white that these were made in. It is in good vintage condition with a bit of rust as shown in the photos(adding to its already considerable charm) and the best bit is that it still has a faded old French Cockerel sticker on the side, so very French in its design. There are many uses you can put this to from a pretty way to hold a herb pot,either on a kitchen windowsill or wall mounted in the garden, with drainage via the spout,or I have a white one in my bathroom and it makes a quirky and unusual toilet brush holder,especially with an old fashioned wooden and bristle one,or could be used to hold garden tools or equipment in in the greenhouse or conservatory as another suggestion. It measures 13 cms across the opening and is 18.5 cms high not including the hanger.;
