The Longhope Welding Company was formed almost 50 years ago by Stan Stephens. When the company was founded the main focus of the business was working in the local quarries and saw mills. However, as times changed, so did the business and it adapted to become a company that has a reputation which is second to none within the Gloucestershire and Forest of Dean area. The company has become very much an integral part of the local economy and especially the community of Longhope itself. There is, however, more to Longhope welding than meets the eye! The company has undertaken some of the largest steel construction sites in the area over the years, having supplied and erected such buildings as the Richard Read Warehouse in Cinderford, the Labels Outlet Shopping complex and Alton Business Park at Ross-on-Wye, and the decorative Pittville Bridge in Pittville Park in Cheltenham to name just a few. But the Longhope Welding Company is not just about large construction – we also cater for the local building and the domestic market providing beams, lintels and steel frames for extensions, gates, railings and balustrades for internal and external use.
