Young axolotls available - about 2-3 inches long and eating well. Taking live or dead bloodworm, live daphnia and the larger ones have taken small slithers of ox heart. Healthy and lively. The eggs these hatched from were produced by the parents on March 2nd this year.
If you are interested in taking on a couple (or more) of these little characters, you must have at least a rudimentary knowledge of their requirements and be prepared to spend some time with them. Currently, they need feeding, cleaning out and water changing every day and when fully grown (up to 12" long in 1-2 years and can live up to 12 years) need weekly water changes. Also, a suitable tank with filter/aerator, hiding place is required as well as a food source, of course. Please bear these facts in mind before responding as I would like them all to go to good, capable homes. These are for sale at £3 each and I would prefer them to go as a two.
