This is an excellent example of a very early Islamic Persian glazed ceramic bowl. It was made in Nishapur on the Silk Road 12th-14th century and has the typical turquoise glaze. The bowl, which was recovered in an archeological dig in the 1970s, has been carefully restored. It measure approx 17cm in diameter and 8 cm high. Any inspection is welcome.
