The Diamondback Overdrive is an awesome entry level mountain bike with disc brake. Although most mountain bikes now are coming equipped with larger 29" wheels; Diamondback are still producing some great 26" mountain bikes. Although everyone is talking about 29er's there are a lot of benefits of having a smaller wheel that a lot of people seem to have forgotten about. 26" wheels - due to their small size are nimble and responsive in tight trails and narrow singletrack. Their small size also means they're quicker at accelerating. This is ideal if your navigating tight trails, with shorts bursts of straights. 26" wheels are also ideal for smaller riders. The Diamondback Overdrive comes with a lightweight yet tough and responsive aluminium frame for attacking tracks and trails. The front brake is a disc brake to allow for responsive cornering and tapping around technical trails. The rear brake is a normal v-brake partly to keep the price of the bike down and partly to act simply as a more constant speed-reducing brake, while the front one is used for quick tapping in technical sections. 21 speed Shimano gearing with EZ Fire shifters provide a reliable and responsive gear change. Suntour suspension forks mean that you can navigate a variety of technical terrain's. Note: This bike comes un-built in original factory box and will require a full build and set up. This can include but is not limited to gear alignment and crank tightening. Professional setup is advised. Faults caused by incorrect setup will not be covered under warranty.
