Trotting Wolf Vintage Britains Ltd. Hollow Cast Lead Toy Wild Animal Model No.955 Zoo Series

11 GBP

English Vintage Britains Ltd. Hollow Cast Lead Toy Trotting Wolf Wild Animal Model which forms part of a Britains Zoo display. Model number: 955.
There is no damage to the casting of the model, which retains its original paint work. There are some rubs to the paint and some small areas where the paint has flaked off. There has been some transfer of green colouring from the surface of a diorama on which the wolf has previously been displayed to the bottom of its legs, and this has been taken into account in the asking price for this item. However, it should be possible to remove the green without detrimentally impacting the wolf's original paintwork. Overall the wolf is in very good played with / play worn condition given its age.
Please study the photographs provided to make your own assessment regarding the condition of this item.
This is a private sale from a pet and smoke free home. The wolf has been with the family since it was purchased new.
The wolf is approximately 2.5 cm high and approximately 4.5 cm long.
I would prefer the buyer to collect, and pay cash on collection please. However, I would be willing to post the wolf to a location within the United Kingdom, at the buyer's own risk, for an additional £4.00. In this situation I would make every reasonable effort to pack the wolf carefully so as to help ensure its safety. Regret no returns accepted.
I also have a small number of other vintage Britains lead animal models for sale which are well worth considering. If buying more than one item from me I would be happy to post them together and only make one charge of £4.00. Thank you.
Note: Items which contain lead are hazardous and should not therefore be given to children under 14 years old. Although originally manufactured as a toy, subsequent UK legislation means this wolf model is now intended for adults.
