We are selling our lovely tin top T25 – just in time for the camping season… 1985 van 1.6 CS diesel with 128,874 miles on the odometer. New engine at 98,912 miles and reconditioned gearbox at 124,785 last year. 4 speed gearbox. All MOTS and history since 2007. Lots of work done including brakes, alternator, timing belt, starter motor. MOT is due in July and I will renew it if we get close. No rust other than on the lower front panel. Both rear wheel arches, nearside front arch and offside sill were all replaced before painting in 2012.The van started life in red that we repainted with rustoleum rust resistant paint in 2012 and have just recoated in emerald green. Please note that the van looks really smart but has been rollered not sprayed. Whilst the finish is very good, if you want a ‘factory’ finish, it will need polishing back. The interior and door shuts are still red. For us the main thing was to ensure all the bodywork was sound and the van looked cheery and smart. The van had a 1.9 petrol engine originally which was replaced well before we owned it with a 1.6 CS diesel. This was leaking oil and I took the decision to replace the engine in 2011. This is very economical, giving around 35mpg. The van drives very well. Everything works, there are no leaks and I know the van inside out, so any questions please ask. The interior has a basic home fit out (again, before our time) with ply cupboards giving lots of storage. There is a sink fitted with a pump action tap. The rock and roll bed is extremely comfortable and we have had a sound sleep in sub zero temperatures. Both front seats have been replaced. DAB aerial is fitted but no stereo, although the connectors are ready to go. The van has been used for camping trips around Britain and Europe as well as being my daily driver. Now selling due to a change of job. Any inspection and test drive.
